The prospecting stage has an objective of finding the earliest chunk of the exploration thread. Through the indicator minerals or outcrops, our prospectors are allowed some preliminary geology sampling, security and interpretation.

Our Geologists locate the orebody in relation to the stratigraphy and then advice on ways to mine it efficiently and profitably, in collaboration with our Rock Engineers.

Our Geologists will model your orebody and it’s geological structures, map the faces as they advance, log core and sample core.

We drill core ahead of the development faces in order to assess the presence of any gases, fissures or geological structures that the mine will intersect in future. We also sample the core if it intersects the ore. This will give us a good indication of how profitable the ore is before it can get to be mined.
